Comments: Auckland Council and Waikato Regional Council are responsible for the management of navigation safety on coastal and inland water within Auckland and Waikato portions of the Hauraki Gulf. These responsibilities are enacted through the development of Navigational Safety Bylaws for each region. These bylaws set out the rules for all craft and people using these waters to ensure their safety. The Navigational Safety Bylaws layer shows areas where specific bylaws are in place to ensure the safety of users on these waters.
